Dolly
August 2018 - Edinburgh Fringe, the Space on the Mile
Rural Ireland - rich in personality and culture yet teeming with the stigma and prejudice of another age. It is against this backdrop that the dark and humorous tale of Dolly is told. Following the death of a close friend and the growing apathy of his parents our protagonist, Joe, longs for a new purpose. Farm life will no longer suffice as he delves into an addictive disguise.
A play reflecting the harsh struggle for male identity whilst celebrating the unstoppable desire to find yourself in spite of your surroundings.
